Rislone® DEF Crystal Clean™ Diesel DEF Medic+
Item No.: 44784 | 350 ml (6 pcs. per carton)

A patented cleaning agent for diesel vehicles with an SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system. Dissolves and removes white urea crystals throughout the entire DEF/AdBlue system, including the tank, pump, heater, sensors, lines, and injector. The product restores performance and prevents faults that lead to increased fuel consumption and reduced engine power.

Benefits:

  • Cleans and restores the entire SCR/DEF system

  • Dissolves white urea crystals in the DEF tank and components

  • Prevents limp mode (reduced power / limp mode)

  • Safe for all types of DEF/AdBlue® systems

  • Restores optimal spray pattern in the injector

  • Compatible with all approved DEF fluids:
    AdBlue®, Arla 32, AUS 32, BlueHDi, BlueTEC®, Cummins®, Duramax®, EcoDiesel®, PowerStroke®, TDI® and others.

  • Prevents costly repairs and extends system life

  • Clears fault codes such as: P20EE, P20EF, P204F, P207F, P20E8, P218F

Applications:

Especially useful for vehicles that:

  • Are driven at low speeds, on short distances, or with low loads

  • Have frequent stops and starts

  • Show fault codes related to SCR/DEF

  • Have reduced engine power or DEF fault warnings

Instructions:

  • Add only to the DEF/AdBlue tank (not to the fuel tank!)

  • Passenger cars (10–20 L tank): ½ bottle

  • Light commercial vehicles (20–40 L tank): 1 bottle

  • Heavy vehicles (40 L+): 1 bottle per 40 liters

  • Can be added directly to an almost full DEF tank, or topped up with DEF

  • If the light is still on after 400 km, a new treatment may be necessary

About the SCR system:

SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) uses DEF/AdBlue (urea + water) to reduce NOx emissions to nitrogen, water, and small amounts of CO₂. The system consists of:

  • DEF tank, filler port, and cap

  • Tank heater and level sensor

  • DEF pump, filter, lines, and injector

  • Dosing module, mixing chamber, SCR catalyst

  • NOx sensors and possibly Ammonia Slip Catalyst (ASC)

Typical problems leading to crystallization:

  • Leakage or air in the system

  • Overfilling of DEF tank

  • Improper storage (exposure to heat/sunlight)

  • Poor quality DEF (incorrect urea-water ratio)

  • Contamination of the system with diesel or other fluids

Common fault codes explained:

  • P20EE: SCR catalyst inefficient (high NOx emissions)

  • P20EF: DEF injection valve stuck

  • P20E8: DEF system pressure too low

  • P204F: Reduction system performance degraded

  • P207F: DEF quality problem

  • P218F: No flow in DEF system
